The Council was instrumental in:
- Opening Eagles Landing Middle School to help alleviate severe overcrowding at Loggers Run Middle School
- Scrapping plans for a garbage dump and incinerator at the southwestern edge of West Boca
- Building a hospital and medical complex in West Boca
- Preventing the building of an airport in West Boca
- Extending Palmetto Park Road to State Road 7 via what would become the Fran Reich Bridge over the Turnpike
- Extending SW 18th St. to State Road 7
- Working with the county to convert Southwinds to a public golf course
- Opposing over-commercialization in residential areas
- Upgrading county ordinances for improved living facilities
- widening Glades Road
- Convincing the USPS to open additional postal facilities in West Boca
- Adding new sheriff and fire stations, and personnel to staff them
- Working with the county to eliminate sewage odor
- Establishing the Tattoo Removal Program to reduce gang influence
- Rejecting a second mall on Glades Road west of Town Center
- Improving Palm Tran service
- Derailing the proposed Bullet Train
- Implementing comprehensive land-use study
- Electing rather than appointing Board members of the Solid Waste Authority
- Installing numerous traffic lights at dangerous intersections throughout West Boca
- Banning “cars for sale” in open spaces along State Road 7
- Advancing the “use it or lose it” concept for zoning
- Working with the county to strengthen the sign code and its enforcement
- Advising school authorities on new school locations in West Boca
- Supporting concurrency in school planning to alleviate overcrowding
- Fighting for schools based on equal educational opportunities
- Saving the revenue-generating school ad sign program
- Sending school buses inside gated communities to pick up students
- Building the new library on 441
- Adding new attractions in South County Regional Park such as the Amphitheater and the dog park
- Changing the name of Oriole Country Road to Judge Winikoff Boulevard
- Leading the 10-year fight to stop West Broward thoroughfares from being routed through West Boca
