Daggerwing Nature Center Calendar for June

All programs are by reservation only, unless otherwise stated. Please call (561) 629-8760 or visit the nature center to make program reservations. Fees (if applicable) are due the day of the program by cash or check only. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form for every program. If you are more than 5 minutes late to a program you have made a reservation for, your spot will be given to a person on the waiting list.

ALLIGATOR FEEDINGS

Every Wednesday and Saturday at 3:15pm

Families / All Ages, FREE (Reservations NOT Required)

Gather round the alligator tank in the exhibit hall and get a short talk about our baby alligator while he is being fed.

CHILDREN’S NATURE SERIES: Turtles

Thursday, June 3 at 3:00pm

Saturday, June 5 at 10:30am

Ages 3-6, $4 per child (Reservations Required)

Parents, bring your little ones to experience exciting nature topics! Programs June include activities such as: stories, puppets, games, role play, nature walks, and crafts.

STORY TIME

Sunday, June 6 at 10:30am

Ages 2-5 (older siblings welcome), $2 per child (Reservations NOT Required)

Join us as we go on adventures through stories, both fiction and non-fiction, about animals and nature!

ANIMAL ENCOUNTERS: Snakes

Saturday, June 12 at 2:00pm

Families / All Ages, $3 per person (Reservations Required)

Come meet (and touch!) some of our resident snakes! Are snakes slimy? How do they get around without legs? Which snakes are dangerous? Learn the answers to these questions and many more!

BOARDWALK TOUR

Sunday, June 13 at 10:15am

Families / All Ages, FREE (Reservations NOT Required)

Join a docent for a guided tour of our swamp habitat!

CHILDREN’S NATURE SERIES: Birds

Ages 9 and up, $3 per person (Reservations Required)

Take part in a series where you can DO something with what you learn! Come and learn which plants will attract butterflies to your yard.

 

Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and is located in South County Regional Park at 11200 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, in western Boca Raton.
